Nachdem ich in Þórsmörk den Gletschern im Süden Islands schon sehr nah kam, fahre ich nun noch einmal um sie herum und kaum bin ich auf der Piste, hat Esmeralda die nächste Überraschung für mich parat. Zum Glück kein großer Schaden und ich konnte schnell weiter fahren und schließlich bin ich an einen Ort gefahren, der eigentlich für Fahrzeuge gesperrt ist, es sei denn man hat die Erlaubnis dazu. Weiter geht es schließlich Richtung Westen auf die Reykjanes Halbinsel und entlang des berühmten Golden Circles.
After I could see the glaciers in the south of Iceland pretty close in Þórsmörk, I am going to drive around them. But as soon as I got to the track, Esmeralda is having another surprise for me. Luckily there wasn’t much damage, so I could continue my trip and got to a special place, which is actually closed for traffic, but not if you have the permission. After that I continue with going west to the Reykjanes peninsula and then along the famous Golden Circle.
